Childhood Dentistry is the term used to designate the science responsible for the prevention, diagnosis and care of children’s dental diseases, a vital phase that ends when all the teeth are definitive. It begins just when parents intend to have a pregnancy. The mother will have to do a good dental hygiene in order to reduce the pathogenic bacteria in the oral cavity, so that they pass into the bloodstream thus reaching the fetus. It is also necessary to perform before pregnancy all treatments, such as caries, endodontics … where anesthesia should be applied, since during the first trimester of gestation, if there was any treatment to perform, it would not be advisable to use anesthesia to avoid malformations and deformations on the fetus.
