EXTERNAL DENTAL CLARIFICATION

Dental clarification is a high-performance dental cosmetic resource that, for a small cost, allows us to change our smile very positively. It is important to evaluate very well the origin of the coloration or darkening that you want to change and make an accurate analysis of the possibility and convenience of doing the treatment.

Before starting the dental clearance treatment, it is necessary to know how much the tone of the patient’s tooth can be improve. Some elements can guide us to predict the results:

  • Gray teeth are more difficult to bleach than yellowish ones.
  • The patient who had white teeth in the past will have the greatest chance of obtaining satisfactory results.
  • Teeth with horizontal bands of different colors can improve, but rarely reach a uniform tone.
  • Between 60-70% of cases of clarification, improve without suffering side effects, for this reason we advise.

Here we see how the patient is prepared to do external dental clarification, this photo is made with the light of the team (PHOTO 1). Afterwards, we can see the patient’s teeth once cleared with a good result, a photo made with natural light (PHOTO 2).

The external dental clarification is based on depositing a paste on the tooth. The paste contains a bleaching agent that is activated by means of a light that heats the product. This releases the same radicals that penetrate the hard tissues when we make an internal clarification of the tooth but without pressure, spreading passively.

Since we clarify teeth, we also clarify a concept: the coloration change is achieved by the clarifying product, not by the type of light, it is incandescent, led or laser.

DENTAL CLOSURE ALTERNATIVE : THE CERAMIC LAMPS

In many cases, movie artists who have dazzling teeth – bright, luminous, uniform … – are not natural whitened teeth but superfine ceramic plates adhering to the tooth after a lightweight preparation. This treatment is also done at the clinic, but requires optimum placement of teeth, good gingival health and good maintenance: brush each time you eat and visit the dental hygienist every six months.
